App Blocker Routines
Protect your attention beyond focus sessions with App Blocker Routines, daily usage limits, scheduled blocking, unlock goals, and a new Screen Time Monitor.
We’re introducing our biggest update to App Blocker yet. It’s one of the most meaningful updates we’ve made because it brings Tempo closer to its mission: protecting your attention.
Tempo can now help you protect your attention beyond focus sessions, including during your free time. With Routines, you can choose apps, categories, or websites and set daily usage limits or schedule when they’re blocked.
We also wanted this protection to feel connected to the time you spend focusing. That’s why we’ve introduced ways to earn access through focus sessions or math exercises.
If you’ve reached your social app limit, for example, you can spend time reading, learning, or doing something you care about to earn a little extra time. It’s a way to make room for the things that matter while still enjoying a small reward.
We’ve also created a new Monitor page for Screen Time, where you can see which apps take up most of your time and how your usage changes over time. It’s a clearer way to understand where your attention goes and decide what you’d like to change.
We’ve put a lot of care into this update, testing and refining how it works. We’d love to hear how Routines fit into your day and what would make them better for you.
